its an alloy plate with a slide, small end to the top onto which the compass/tin opener slides onto

could not find a pic online anywhere sorry but if you remember the compasses/tin openers of 30 years ago...

yes i could but thought it would be easy to get one. silly me...

(have made a gimballed camera mount)

could also drill thru the frame and attach it that way, but its "borrowed" from my dad
