Hi All,
I just wanted to say a public thank you to Mark Barton of Waldringfield Boatyard. On Wednesday my wife and I were trying to pick up a mooring buoy in the Deben. We fell back on the near Springs tide and I got well snagged by the rudder on another double-buoyed mooring. On the suggestion of a mate on the phone, I called the boatyard and caught Mark 10 minutes before he was finishing for the day. He promptly set off in his dory to attend and after a lot of effort and some deft use of warp, winch and his dory’s pulling power, he freed us, made good the mooring and resecured us by the bow this time. All for a very reasonable fee. Thank you Mark! Recommend you to others needing any yard services in the Deben.

but better luck it happened near Mark’s. An all round good bloke in my experience.
