After much much hassling by number one son, we thought we would see if we could provide a credible wakeboard ride off the back of the Phantom 38. We shortened the line slightly, and ran it off the passerelle to give it some height - and despite a force 3-4 wind, managed to get about 20 minutes of fun in.

Mind you every time we had to retrieve him after he fell off, trying to manouvere a Phantom, and not get the rope caught etc etc was an art in itself.

Here is what it looked like!

Oooh great could do with pics of him crossing the wake tho.

When you go back round for someone once they have fallen off just circle them and the rope will e drawn to them or gett the person whos supposed to be spotting for you to bring in the rope out of harms way.

Looks like he had great fun.

Thanks for that. I think he described the wash as 'mushy' it didnt seem to give a clean lift - in fact James fell over when he tried a jump from the wake.

Part of the problem I had with picking James up again was the turning cirlce of the boat was nothing like the sportsboat we had previously, plus with the flybridge it had a tendency to get blown around a bit!
