I dropped my little boat into the lake two weeks ago with help from Mental Pause.
Since then it's rained or been very still, or both.
I'm begining to wonder if I've been a bit previous.

Saturday may be more hopeful. Barbeque Summer anyone?

It's about time that you took her out and pressure washed her off, then. We can't have all this performance stuff critically impacted through lack of use....

Annoying, and very frustrating for you. It will all change in due course ;)

Nice Picture

I like the top picture very much. A very relaxing composition; on the eye as well as on the mind.

Interesting that the burgee faces the opposite way to the hull in the first picture...must be touching the Jet Stream which can often be a different angle to surface winds....
As for the boom its one of there Virtual Boom's....only turns up when you need it...

No waiting for wind for me this year, I've converted Minnie to a motor boat and will be cruising the canal system and, maybe, the Ribble estuary.

Next comes the striped awning and cockpit cushions so my guests can sip their champagne in comfort as we chug along to the canalside pub. Anyone want to buy the rig off a 20' sloop!

Boom needs to be a bit more substantial too... :)
Interesting experiment (to me anyway).
I've found flaking the main and covering it, tightening the mainsheet against the topping lift etc. all a bit of a pain, especially single-handed. I tried lazy jacks but that wasn't much better.
On a small boat (under 20ft) I reckon it's easier to slip out the luff sliders and unship the boom, storing it in the cabin.

We'll see.
