Can't wait to change! This week is my last voyage in Piccolo. Only 26 hours to Guernsey from Falmouth. The up side is it will cost me about £5:00 in fuel. Next year Im counting on a £300 round trip but to cross the channel in 3 hrs is something else!

Wifey is flying over, she cant take the 26 hrs. I must be doing the right thing to change, I think.

Im just wondering how many of you stretch your-selves silly to buy a bigger boat than you actually need. From an outsider looking in all these big Ginnys that fly past, I must admit to thinking pss rich *******.

Any one thinking that about me will be way off target.

When will this weather change! My window is 3 days not 3 hrs!

August is looking better. We've paid a heavy price for a few sultry hot days in July. For me this year has been a bad year for boating - one way or another. Still, I'm off to look at a new boat tomorrow!

Online weather.com do 15 days ahead outlook. I think its a secret way to depress sailors like me. Its worth a look, there are plenty of dry days forecast.

There is nothing wrong with rain when you have a flybridge.

Long range forecast made in April was
May; worse than usual (turned out to be correct)
June; average (turned out to be correct)
July; average (turned out to be correct)
August; better than average, more so particulary in the North of the country.

I'm hoping and praying that the forecast for August is right. My boat "is chomping at her bit because of being stuck in the stable" a lot of the time.
