Waeco Cool Machine 54 where to get help

I have Waeco cool machine ie DanfossBD35F compressor and VD07 plate. This is around 3 years old. It has suddenly stopped getting cold. Seems to switch on and make all the right noises plate does appear to drop very slightly in temperature.I cant get any help or guidance from anywhere as to what todo. Boat in Milford Haven. I read through various searches and differing views as how to fix or get fixed. This is an expensive bit of kit to consider replacing. I have tried Waeco-Dometicand absolutely zilch. Some say can be regassd but if you separate the plate from compressor you lose all the seals anyway. I am at a loss would be pleased for help particularly where I can get any. Cheers Folks.

I had a similar problem several years ago with a 3 year old unit. It turned out that the evaporator tubes had perforated on the bends releasing all the gas. Domestic not interested at all.
I had a refrigeration eng pressure test the unit and then fit a new evaporator.

As said on a similar post, you are going to need a refrigeration engineer. It might be worth talking to Dale Sailing at Neyland. They must have someone they can call in.

As the compressor seems to be running, if you feel competent, you could try checking the thermostat in the coolbox is working ok. A thermometer and a 12v bulb in the circuit would at least confirm it is calling for cooling. Beyond that it most likely to be lost refrigerant through a leak. An engineer would be able to pressure test it with nitrogen and with leak detection kit should be able to pinpoint problem area. It's not really a DIY job as manifold (pressure) gauges and a vacuum pump will be needed, plus as been said elsewhere accurate scales to keep an eye on weight of refrigerant going into system - mainly to make sure it is not overfilled. Typically, an engineer would vapour charge until evaporator outlet pipe is just starting to frost. I don't know charge that Dometic put into these when they are precharged, but the 60 grams that has been mentioned elsewhere is probably not far out as they are very small systems - that's not a recommendation by the way as I do not know.

I don't mean to put a dampener on things, but an engineer is probably your best best.
