As part of the Walton & Frinton Yacht Club Open Day on Sunday 19th August 2012 an auction will be held which will include a variety of nautical and general lots.

About 100 lots are anticipated to be included within the auction. The provisional auction catalogue can be found here.

Lots are still coming in, but I hope to have a final version of the catalogue made available by Monday 13th August 2012.

This is a cash only auction with no buyers premium. Full details are included within the catalogue.

Viewing of the lots is between 1100 and 1400, when the auction is due to start.

Please come along and grab yourself a bargain. Everything must go on the day, and, apart from a few items, everything starts at £5 with no reserve.

The Open Day, also starts at 1100. Details of this is also on the W&FYC website.

Understand there is a cricket bat on the list? Essential on a boat.

Are there any other really useful bits of kit; like a deck chair, fire guard or a Naval Officer?

Forget the cricket bat.

Personally I believe no vessel should be without an ornamental teapot on board.

And it just so happens I have a lot of four of them included in this auction. Just think, if you win these everyone will be talking about you! Display them in your windows to show the type of person you are. And not only that, these teapots come with an ornament of owls on a log. If that does not make an impression I have no idea what will.

Hi, See you have a grand total of lots.

Please advise, what is the latest time that you can accept lots? (i.e. can they be brought along on morning of the auction).

ps See the cricket bat appears to have been withdrawn

No more lots are being taken in for this auction. There are a few more items to add to the catalogue - including the cricket bat, but unless they are in the auction shed by tomorrow night (Tuesday) they may not be included.

Private viewings of the lots can be arranged on request. I hope to have everything set up by Wednesday.

I was hoping to have completed the auction catalogue by close of play today. However, items are still being donated by club members, with the last few due to arrive tomorrow (Thursday).

The latest arrival? A Plastimo PRS 210 dinghy!

Oh! The famous(?) cricket bat has now been added too.

Still no cement mixer - sorry!

...or Naval Officer!

The completed auction catalogue is now on the W&FYC website.

90% of items will start at £5 with no reserve, which means there are plenty of bargains to be had.

Please read the terms and conditions displayed within the catalogue to show how this auction is to be run.

I hope to see many of you there.
