vynal rap

A friend has his boat vyanl rapped.He has a few marks on it,not broken through the vyanl.Is there any way to polish them out?

No you wont polish them out. the vinyl is printed with an ink jet process which is very thin. Polishing is likely to remove the ink.

It could be self-coloured vinyl but only if it's a plain, solid colour.
Even so you won't get much joy from polishing but it may come up slightly better than it is - although it will abrade the surface so the shine won't be as glossy as the rest of the wrap.

Edit: it could be laminated as well if it's printed - in which case there's a thin layer of clear vinyl on top of the print. Not made for polishing though.

Correct answer. Although it will overlap it won't show as the vinyl is very thin. If a correct colour match can't be obtained it might be possible to hide it with a vinyl logo or writing.
