VTronix Hawk Antenna kit - question

The Solderless connector kit it comes with has been made up to the end of the kit cable so the little brass dome appears to have been crimped onto the wire.

That's great if you haven't already run a cable in a bundled conduit in a mast which the cable isn't long enough for anyway! Can you remove this brass thing from the made up cable or what? Or do I need to buy a different kit?

On the VTronix aerial that I had, the brass bullet was screwed onto the cable insulation, not crimped. It could be unscrewed to remove it.

Did it looked like it was crimped on? the bullet tip appears to have been indented several times around it. I don't want to try messing about with it and then end up taking it back and some poor sod puts it on and the reception is s*** because I've damaged the crimp!

The bullet wasn't indented. Sounds like yours is different, or non-standard assembly method!

Maybe your local chandlery could order the crimp part on its own.

You can buy the solderless cable connection kit as a separate item.They had them in the chandlers when I bought my new aerial.JG Technologies have them for £8.
