According to the YBW press release of today about FL new manufacturing plans, that's the type of hull on which the T63 and the future Sq64 are based.
Breakthrough innovation, marketing BS, or anywhere in between - petem, enlighten us! :D

Well I have been digging around ,trying to understand the accommodation vs performance vs ride issue on the other thread
Maybe it's flat as a pancake mid sections , = loadsa lift ,thus no need for bigger engines , cos it s not gotta a lot of drag .It will shake the occupants to death over 30 knots -- bouncing over waves ( not parting them ) --- thus 24-25 knot cruise ---- all designed in ?

Too flat to go fast route , but very accommodating .

It's windy today out in the bay - white horses, I wonder if it's gonna break cover and dare go out this pm loaded with punters ?

The new Fairline knows it needs to cement a different niche from Sunnie and Prinnie. It's history is founded on great sea keeping, and I believe they will continue with this. Great styling and "presence" are also brand values. Not as racy as Sunny, not as classical as Prinnie. Grips I will be tasked with developing a product that encaptures these values.

I agree. Fairline have built their reputation on great handling boats and I can't see them building a boat that slams now.

Incidentally, the Targa 63 and Squadron 65 are virtually identical in size so FL haven't suddenly gone really wide.

Our squadron 65 did 34 knots on a good day which for a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom house with lounge, roof terrace and sea views I thought was pretty impressive.

Not sure it helped global warming but thats another issue!
