Help please!
We have managed to shear the pinion off the starter motor. Tried to start engine to make port after sailing, starter span but did not engage. Thought it had jammed, but to my suprise the cog on the shaft had gone! Do we need to remove the bits from the bell housing ? or is there enough space to allow the 'bits' to sit? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
