VP2003 sealing rings

I'm fitting a new heat exchanger to my 2003 and have purchased new sealing rings for the pipes. Do they need to be fitted with grease or are they placed in dry? Any tips from you good folk, please?

I treat all rubber/synthetic O-rings and gaskets to a coating of silicone grease.

Essential to fit new sealing rings, and a smear of silicone grease won't be a problem. Don't be disappointed if the system doesn't seal first time...
