Md2030 fuel lift pump
Hi all, had the dreaded fuel bug and a "bad dose"
I cut an inspection hole and drained and cleaned tank, cleaned lines and changed filters.
My question is,
I couldn't get her to bleed on the lift pump, I rotated engine to make sure the cam wasn't interfering with the primer, but primer didn't give any resistance. On inspection the pump is fitted directly to block, I would have expected an insulation block/ gasket of about 6-8mm.
I got a new pump and it comes with 2 paper gaskets but I couldn't find any definitive info on it.
The engine is now running fine as I managed to bleed it by pulling fuel via the leak off.
Does anyone know if the lift pump should have an insulation block/ gasket
Thanks in advance
