I have taken my intercooler off the engine to clean the insert, the service manual says to use a plastic faced mallet to remove the insert once the end caps are removed, does anyone have any experience doing this? Is it ok to tap at the insert to start it moving, I am afraid to hit it too hard although it is fairly tight. Comments please
