VP D4-225 Need a few pointers please?

Hi Folks,

Just bought a 2008 Rodman810 with a D4-225 motor. Although the engine runs like a dream the service history seems bitty to say the least. Maybe "unrecorded" is more accurate.
I would like to start by doing a deep service to the engine to get it to a known condition. From there I'll keep a detailed maintenance log.
Can anyone suggest the correct manual that will encompass explanatory information to explain how the engine operates and also contains the procedures necessary to do a deep service.
I have seen great youtube videos of the simpler things in life like oil changes etc but the first thing I want to do is service the heat exchangers as I think these might be a point of weakness.
I am happy to spend on manuals but need the more in-depth writings specific to the D4.
