This might be a stupid one but I have VP 290 duo prop legs. I need to do bellows etc. How do you know if you have 290dp or 290-A dp's?? I dont know the exact age. Does it make any difference for spares?

Thanks and excuse my ignorance /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

there should be a plate with the number riveted to the top box just at the bellows
however if you have an engine number any volvo dealer will tellyou what drives were originally fitted
bellows and zincs will not vary but internals may

I not sure of the difference either, it may be different hook up forks or double bearing box in the upper unit but it doesn't matter as far as bellows are concerned they use the same ones.
UJ Bellows kit part no. 876294

I had a similar issue and mine turned out to be a VP Type C duo prop. As soon as I supplied the serial number to a Volvo dealer all spares were supplied without problem.
