VP 2003 (Fresh water cooled) Elbow

Is the difference between the sea water cooled and fresh water cooled, that the block side ports are sealed? slightly hampered by lack of info from VP ..Thanks in Advance .. Boz

Not sure what you mean by "block side ports "

There are instructions for installing freshwater cooling and a diagram of the entire cooling system in the workshop manual ( page 25) at http://members.dslextreme.com/users/j40ed/volvo_penta_2002_worksh.pdf

It show two ports being plugged. Presumably they are the ones you are asking about

The ports I am referring to are the ports on the elbow to cylinder head joint - I didn't express myself too well. the 3 ports exposed when the elbow is removed are blocked off but exist on the elbow itself..... I think I've answered my own question by trawling through previous threadsThanks and regardsBoz
