Time to change coolant and found that VP coolant was almost 3 times as expensive compared to some others.

Does anyone know if the Volvotruck/car coolant is the same or if there are any other that are known to be equal or good enough?

Thx/

A word of caution....
article in this months MBY gave details from VP why the D3 engines had an overheat problem. They found it was something to do with a coolant being used instead of their recommended one....dont have article to hand for full details. but crap was getting stuck/held up in the heat exchanger reducing flow leading to overheat.
I know.....I had the problem for nearly 2 years!

I'm pretty sure the vovlo coolant for boats is the same as the Truck Coolant . Find your nearest truck centre here You can also get the Volvo VD2 oil here in 20litres too. Probably cheaper than a Volvo Penta Dealer £43.85 for 20L oil £26.81 10L coolant concentrate (ex VAT)
