try taking the ram to a industrial hydraulic specialist. I know a good one in Gt Yarmouth if you get stuck and can post it. You might just find the seals are a standard size and they might overhaul the ram for a sensible price.

I had this problem whilst my boat was under warranty from Sealines. They put new seals in the rams. I don't know where they got them from but if you contact Adam at Sealines on 01489-885115 I'm sure he'll be prepared to tell you where to get them from.

Good old Volvo, they've done it again. All I needed was a simple seal kit for the trim rams on my 290 leg and am informed that I have to buy complete new rams for about a million quid !! Its almost criminal. Anyway enough of my ranting. Anybody know a source for the necessary seals ?
