I have a Volvo waterlock on my Volvo 2030 and after only one year one weld is leaking where the upper pipe is welded on the round stailess steel part at one end of the silencer.Is that frequent

Youen, No that's not normal after a year. Usually they leak on the bottom of the downstream end but after some years. Take it back or as its newish get it welded. Why did you replace the old one?

Because the old one was also eaten by the rust.
