I have a Volvo S120 Saildrive. I removed the prop last week and on inspection today, I noticed that the splines inside the prop are well worn and some missing.
It looks like the part that has splines may be a separate part of the prop and will in fact tap out. Does anyone know if this is correct before I take a hammer to it. Thanks.

Hi
If you mean the splines that engage with the driveshaft, you'll probably find it's bonded to a rubber shock absorber.
Which prop do you mean is it folding or what. Suggest you post a photo up.
I have a brand new folding prop if you are interested.

Re-hubbing

I fitted a new prop (€300) because there isn't a facility for re-hubbing in Greece and took the old prop home.
At the SIBS, the staff on the Steel Developments stand gave me a quote of £60 ex-works for a new bush & hub & extra for a complete re-furb . So during my next visit to London I'll be paying them a visit
