The clear perspex/acrylic(?) face of my Volvo Rev Counter, supplied with a D1-30B engine, has become a little clouded/scratched. Is it possible to polish it clear and If so with what? If not, is it possible to source replacement faces?

Thank you.

?. Almost…thankyou.

Coincidentally, I have just been watching the latest episode of Mr Carlson’s Lab on YouTube where as part of restoration he cleans up the acrylic dial face of an old radio with plastic polish. He doesn’t give a brand name but it came up quite nicely.

Most glass merchants will cut you a circle of glass for an instrument and bevel the edge if necessary. I got one cut for my BSA Bantam Speedo.

Yes, I needed a new glass for the speedometer on my Lomax, slightly complicated because it has a hole for the odometer knob. Local glass company cut one the same day, cost just a few pounds.
