Volvo Prop Fitting

A well known Volvo sevice dealer has just fiited a new pair of props to one of my 290 outdrives. The large prop nearest the drive has been left loose due to the nylex type locknut not being fully cranked up, is this correct, i realise the prop cant come off, but there is a small amount of play in it. What do you guys think?

I just went and checked mine. No movement at all. Perhaps you should get 2nd opinion. A loose prop would not be a good idea.

Just re-fitted the props on my 290 leg. all props nice and tight. I'd be worried if they weren't. Suggest you get them checked.

Is this Volspec @ Haven?

They should most definitely be tight. I should check your anodes are bolted up tight as well, the same lot left one of my ring anodes loose last year.
