Watch out for the lovely flexible people at Volvo.

Have now had an offer accepted on a 9 month old Bav 34. THe engine has done 15 hours. The Volvo booklet states that the warranty is only good if the engine is serviced in the first 180 days. Phoned Volvo, and despite the lack of hours, they won't maintain the waranty even if its serviced immediately.

Well, I suppose its an opportunity to use non-accredited engineers and pattern parts.

I have the feeling that the warranty docs are not worth the paper they are printed on, still havent heard anything from them re my claim. Will write another letter today

I just want my boat back in the water ;-(

Could it be there is a problem with the Volvo engines fitted to the Bavaria 34 of that ilk.

Opal think so. Our Bavaria 34 kept having engine troubles which Opal finally blamed on the incorrect oil. Now if your engine has only done a small number of hours it could be the problem is yet waiting to happen and hence Volvo's abstenance.
