Volvo Penta TMD40A Dashboard Help

Hello,

I need some help, engine works and legs work on dashboard, but none of the gauges appear to be working, it’s intermittent but currently engine works as it should but nothing on the instrument panels…

Have power to the dashboard instrument panel, but nothing appears to be working, I have checked all the connections, cleaned and remade but to no avail. Hoping that an experienced person with the same engine has encountered the same issue and can point me in the right direction

Hi. May not be your issue, but some boats I can think of in particular with the VP dash, actually have a switch on the dash somewhere or on a panel to turn the gauges on. Usually says something like console interments or similar

This is a danish ankor queen 30ft, run with 2 x volvo penta engines, the wiring looms present to back of the dash, one works as it should do with all gauges, and the other one is intermittent where dash at times works and like now the gauges do not work....the engine and legs work from the dash fine, all the feeds behind the gauges show voltage, its just the one dash gauges do not work, but have voltage?

This turned out to be a protective resistor hidden in the dash, in case anyone comes across this issue (hope not)
