I have just noticed some play in turning the shaft on my Volvo D1-30 coupled to a MS15-A gearbox. In turning the shaft by hand (the boat is in the water) there is a small amount of play. This could either be the gearbox or the prop, as l renewed the prop in the winter, my first thought was prop related. However it could be gearbox so does anyone know of known faults with these gearboxes?
