Volvo Penta MD4

You'll see my earlier posts that I've aquired "Odin" a 27' Storebro Royal Cruiser. Aside from the woodwork issues she has a pair of Volvo Penta MD4 engines which are based on the Mercedes OM636. One of them has blown a hole in the exhaust manifold. Does anyone have / know of where I might be able to source a marine exhaust manifold new or used (anyone out there got one in their garage??!) for these engines. Thanks Iain

try the Chandlery barge at swannick, there is a few old engines lying about the yard there, some are suitable for breaking for spares, god knows what they all are, best go and have a look

Failing all else, I know a mechanic in Southampton who makes car exhausts from stainless pipes, and he might be able to knock one up.
