While attempting to adjust the injection arrangements following a partial rebuild, I have noticed that the cold start assembly on the end of the adjusting rod appears to be damaged, probably on account of a collapsed spring within. However I cannot work out how the device operates. It seems to me to be more likely to be an arrangement to allow the engine to be stopped when the stop cable is pulled! I attach(hopefully) a diagram of the parts. It is parts 17-21 and 25-27. The screw(25)img175.jpg is adjusted through the back of the timing case cover.
