Can anyone help with information on the above engine, I belive its a re-badged honda engine????????
The caseing is stamped 197cc No BF 75-6001436
Could the engine be honda's BF8???
I just brought the engine at a boat jumble as it comes as a sail drive unit and would seem to suit my needs, but I would like to service and overhaul the engine befor fitting.

I have one of these engines in my Friendship 22. The engine was renovated just before I bought the boat last year. There is a firm in Norfolk who hold stocks of spares - I think they are at Stalham.
After initial teething trouble the engine has proven to be very reliable- so far!
