Started by KAD300 yesterday and lots of smoke from the supercharger clutch. It got very hot and it's clearly seized.

I understand that these clutches are manufactured by Ogura - does anyone know the part number or supplier as I suspect they'll be a lot cheaper that Volvo!

Also, any experiences of removing and refitting?

cheers in advance.

I replaced one a few years back and I remember it being quite straightforward as long as you have some circlip pliers. I used the genuine Volvo replacement but certainly for the KAD42 and 43 the clutch is a Ogura so almost certainly will be the same for you.
I believe these clutches are also used with automotive air-con pumps so may be worth taking the bits to a local air-con specialist and see what he's got.

I guess you've already looked at http://oguraclutch.co.jp/e/index.html

Just replace one of mine on KAD 42
They are made by OGURA part number on the new Volvo clutch was OGURA clutch company Ltd Japan
Part no - OSC-MGO1-309 DC 12v
I tried to locate a cost just out of curiosity for a comparission once fitted but could not locate one

Straight forward to replace, need a 3 slotted pulley extractor as the out clutch is on a splined shaft £20 of EBay and a set of 8in long reach external circling pliers

Regards
