volvo penta engine manual and rev counter!

Hi,

it's actually simonwood but for some reason i can't log so i created a new account!

I have new volvo penta md2020 engine on my boat i don't have any manuals, i am sure you used to be ableto download them from volvo but i cant find it on there website, any ideas?

reason being, i my rev counter does not work since the new engine and need help on trying to fix it!

Sorry but i'v been looking for the last 4 months too on the web. and there is no manuals for the 2020/30/40. we had to buy one from VP for about 20 pounds.

Whats wrong with the rev counter ? They do like moisture getting into them. we are on our second rev counter and second alarm test unit.

even if you can't read <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.penta.volvo.se/files/7738924.pdf>portuguese</A>; pages 43 to 46 have the electric diagrams of the engine and three different control panels, tachys are marked with a RPM/h, all symbols seem pretty standard electrical it should not be too difficult to trace the various connections

[added] I looked better, there are actually two other manuals for variations of this model, I cannot post the link as it has a few %% that disappear from the post... why is it?

I know there isn't any manual of your type there, but you could try sending an e-mail to the administrator, I think he's called Piet Bos, and perhaps he'll knowwhere to find one.
