Hello,
what works should be included in the yearly revision of the DHP legs?
I remind Portofino suggesting that they should be fully dismounted and verified every year.
Local VP mechanic just quoted for simple oil change...
I asked at least for replacement of the transmission bellows and than the quote doubled, as they have to dismantle the legs...
All bellows have been replaced last year.
Is it safe to replace than every 2 year, knowing that the boat is kept constantly in salt water ?
Thanks

extract from the volvo penta manual below.

I used to change the drive oil and anodes yearly, and get the bellows replaced every other year. This was on a boat kep in salt water 365 days per year - it was fine for the 8 years I owned it.

It was dismounted every other year with the bellows . Taken into the engine shed 3/4 days dismantled and measured and stuff found out of tolerance replaced .
Oil change+ pressure test every year . Anodes every year .
9 seasons no breakdowns . Turn key every time . Important when time poor + kids .
