Hi guys,

I need an assistance. I'm having hard time figuring out what's the problem. Engine is only 670 hours, engine is from 2011.
Went out of the marina, maybe 15 minutes of motoring (1800 rpm) overheating alarm went on.

- impeller was changed in the autumn, so it's new
- coolant level is good
- nothing in the seawater filter
- water flow is good

What shall I do next?
Yesterday I was idling for 1 hour at 2000 rpm's not engaged, no error.

Shall I dismantle heat exchanger and clean it?
Or maybe it's thermostat issue.

How to pin point to the right issue?

I have this fear the D1 is slightly different to the MD20xx - it certainly looks different.

Do you get increased water flow at high revs - if flow does not increase then I'd check, as suggested elbow and heat exchanger - start with whatever is easier.

If the impeller was replaced in Autumn - its not new.

I didn't want this answer, heat exchanger is work for one day I believe :D thanks.
Shouldn't need to dismantle the whole unit/manifold, just take the end caps off and remove the insert. Plenty of helpful vids on youtube.
It may not be necessary to actually remove the tube nest unless it obviously needs a thorough clean.

I would definitely check that the thermostat opens at the specified temperature

it has only 40 hours on it, after visual check the condition is ok.
