volvo penta 570 whats normal?

Hi

got a volvo penta 570 was told the heat exchanger was bocked so have cleaned it through, cleaned sea strainer to, started engine with one plate off excharger and got a good flow of raw water out the top.
after replacing cap im getting abit of water from exhaust and quite alot of steam ran at fast idle for around 10 mins temp gauge reads 70 degrees C and exhaust risers where warm but i could hold my hand on them. Same with heat exchanger
is this normal, what else should i check

Freshwater engines usually run around 80c, whats the temp under load when at cruising speed?

thanks for reply, havnt got to cruising yet as just got boat, and hasnt been run since August so going through systems. Havent got loads of boat engine experience but loads of car and plant fitting.
Was worried about the exhaust risers but not sure what to check for

If you can put your hands on the manifolds or risers then they are not too hot.
