Volvo Penta 2003 Throttle Control

Does anyone have a Service Manual for a 1989 Volvo Penta 2003 Engine or a detailed explanation of the internal Throttle Control mechanism and how to adjust it, with, if possible, labeled photos or drawings

Don\'t think it\'s a DIY job...

As far as I'm aware, this isn't a job to be tackled lightly. The "Workshop Manual" doesn't cover it in any depth. Special equipment may be needed. Could be worth getting a Volvo technician to look at it.

What problem have you got Bob? My 2003 suffered with cutting out on tickover which seemed like just a low tickover setting. turned out to be the pins inside the injector pumps being worn. My mechanic has temporarily fixed this by repositioning them in the pumps, but I will need to get all 3 serviced at the end of the season - £100 each. I wouldn't bother even attempting trying to sort any problems with the fuel rack, best left to the experts IMHO.
