Volvo pants stainless exhaust group buy?

The thread on blocked elbows got me thinking. would anyone sign up for a group buy of SS ones?

VP appear to have used the same part for various common vp engines for example this part;

I have been involved with many of these on car forums and they work well. Yes you do have to trust someone you have never met at some point.

There was a recent thread of a French website doing bulk buys at massive scale.

If interested reply to thread with an obvious "I would be interested" and I will find out costs.

I have a 2030 - the elbow is fine at the moment - i recently took it off to de-coke. but for how long?

Am finding out.

The ones posted are £225 inc VAT, but I would hope to get a much better price if we can get enough people together. Previous experience implies anything from 10% for small numbers upto allot more if numbers are right and the supplier is keen.

There appear to be at least 2 other supplies, although the above are favourites as they are local/UK.

Group buys are a great idea, I think we should have more of them. A dedicated forum is quite common.

Also worth mentioning the exhaust elbow is the same on Perkins perama engine

I might be interested, depending on price. My D1-30 elbow is still in pretty good condition so I'm not going to spend vast amounts on it.

I think mine is a D1-20A of 2008 vintage (must check) . Still in good condition last time I looked, but if the price was right I would be interested in one for the spares box.

Grade is important, and SS won't necessarily cure the coking up which seems to be the recurrent problem with VP elbow.
