Have been watching the VOR almost daily. Impressive quality video. Great video today of the inport race.

What are the tablet things they use? What do they have on the display? Is this something I need (obviously not)

The look like the Panasonic Toughbook remote displays. Though they might just be the new Toughbook Android Tablets from Panasonic.. But I've not yet had one to hold

They had them in the 2008 race so can't be something new. Maybe iPad in some custom made case?

Pretty sure they are. They'll be running some derivation of Deckman. Probably some specially written bits of software too.

Presumably they can only use data from broadcast or from Volvo sources bit can interpret the data in any way they want?

So some polar routing software tuned for their boat is my prediction. And YouTube for when its boring in the rail.
