I have a couple of TAMD41Bs coupled to MS4B gearboxes. One box engages sweetly, the other goes in with a bit of a bang. Initially the engine on the one with the harsh engagement was idling about 150 rpm above the recommended 700 and when I slowed the tickover down to 700 this seemed to cure the problem, however it has returned. Is there a way of adjusting this or does it indicate that a potential problem is lurking internally?
