Volvo model update

Just in case anyone is thinking of changing their engines this year maybe you have heard already that Volvo are dropping a lot of engine variants, they are as follows;
Last delivery for following is week 28\05
TAMD 41
KAMD 43
KAMD 300
KAD 32
KAD 43
KAD 300

TAMD 74 Last delivery week 52\05
TAMD 75 " " " "

Production is now limited and engines will only be built to order in the last few months.
The above models will remain in the pricelist until the end of the year as some engines may remain unsold or lie in stock with boat builders.

I presume parts will be readily available for years to come?

I take it that the D range will be taking over? I also take it that producing the listed engines (as components) won't be a problem, or there won't be any OEM spares??

Parts support will continue, and yes the D series is superceding the listed engines.

When I was looking at my green ones at the w/e 63's by the way, I for the first time noticed D6 forged into the block.

I assume that this lump is common to the old TAMD 63 as to D6?

Is this correct?

Nah, I think you must have a forgery. The D6 is an all new design, AFAIK

I did say they were 'forged'.
