volvo MD2 / MD11c

Any body know if these two engines share any parts, there is an md2 for sale locally, just wondering if it's worth buing for bits?

Quite a number of parts are the same, even though the 11c is a wet liner block, but there are a number of variants of each engine, different mountings, starters, alternators etc. if you go to; www.marinepartsexpress.com , home page, 1/3 down the page on the left, click `volvo schematics `, and you have a list of all the volvo engines, variants etc, cooling , starting, charging, mountings, fuel systems WITH ALL THE PART NUMBERS ! You can compare these part nos between models to see if they are the same. This site is an invaluable resource IMHO , much better than Volvo`s own site.
