I would like to know the weigth of a 3cyl. 36hp year 1975
volvo diesel. with mono shift reverse gear. i have a swedish workshop manual but its not in there.
i am looking forward to scraping it.and need the info in connection with the replacement. what ever it will be.

Hi Tony - my instruction book says a md17d weighs in at 281 kg with its gearbox (ms2). Printed 1981 I think. Hope that helps? I extracted an old md11d by hand recently after removing as many bits and pieces as possible - including the flywheel, gearbox and heads. Mike

I have a Swedish workshop manual, that covers 1 to 3 cyl
with every kind of tech info but not the weight of any of em.
im looking forward to getting rid of the monster, and the 150kg of ballast counterweight in the bow.
