Just gone to start up after winter lay up.
Turns over loverly, 13.2 volts at battery
Wont Start checked fuel cut off on diesel pump and no action.
Checked voltage and shows 2.5 volts
Attempted to lift leg and nothing just found wiring diagram but appears a coincidence both have lost power. Can any let me know if they get power from the same source.
All other ignition works ok gauges etc. Thanks Steve

Check if the breaker in the black box on top of the engine has popped out if so needs to be reset.
Check the multi pin connector into the black box is not corroded.
Check the big white fuse near the starter motor has not blown(which is the leg trim pump).
Check the relays on the trim pump are not corroded.

Hi Martyn Thanks for suggestion Im off to boat today , Ive checked top two but Im going to follow your other suggestions. Thanks Steve

Is this an EDC set up. If so check the fuse to the gearshift motor has not blown as this can cause similar symptoms.
I cannot recall where fuse is but maybe somewhere near starter motor it has a blck protective cover over it (lucar type fuse
Operating the gear selector without engine running can cause fuse to blow.

kad32 is Not EDC
However Engine will not start if gear is not in neutral - but everyone knows that.

Well I can assure you Martin that quite alot of non edc engines do start if you try to start in gear. - So every does not know that especially if they don't own one!

Perhaps I should have said a kad 32 should not start unless in neutral if the controls have been fitted correctly.

As I said they can be started if in gear as mostly they are not fitted with start in gear protection circuit breakers. U.S specification installations excepted

I've never seen a KAD engine attempting to start when in gear.

Interesting I thought all boats engines had this, including outboards. My AD31 (non kad) won't start if in gear.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I can clarify that if shift lever is in forward or astern starter will not operate.
The motor is spinning over loverly but much reduced voltage to Stop solenoid and now power to trim tilt .
Tried what I can , Anymore ideas would be gratefully received.
Regards Steve
