Thanks for the reply - could you let us have more info at hek10@cam.ac.uk - we have done some work on the engine but current info is that one cylinder is losing compression. If the manual you have could help with this would be interested to hear further.

Yeah I've got a manual for an MD7A. It's a photo copy of a photo copy but still OK email me at david@whitehave.freeserve.co.uk and I'll get a copy to you.
What info do you want? if it's not too much I could scan a couple of pages and send them to you. That is after we get permission from Volvo Penta!!!
