I think you'll find it on the Volvo Penta site
If not then it is definitely HERE
[/ QUOTE ]I think he'll definitely find that you didn't bother to check that the links you gave don't contain the information he asked for! Just like so many of the links posted here. Moral: always check the link first.
Actually, I don't think there's an easy source of engine age. Perhaps the best solution would be to ask a VP dealer.

We're a bit sharp this evening, aren't we? 2 corrective posts in succession - I'd better not post my usual twaddle /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
No, I just get a bit tired of all the people who leap in and post "Try <span style="color:blue">here</span>" or "Look at <span style="color:blue">here</span>" without checking that (a) the link actually works and (b) the info is relevant to the question. It only takes a second or two to click on the link whilst previewing the post.
But feel free to keep posting your usual twaddle! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

He was quite right to do so. The first link was prefaced with "I think" but the second did say "definitely" when exact years related to serial number, or what ever, were not infact given. Anyway we have no idea who had already rattled his cage yesterday evening!
People are very careless when posting links. In particular, though, links that do not work at all. That is completely unnecessary as they can always be checked for correct operation in "preview". The same applies to links to pictures.
The second link is, however, very good for O/B engine ages although I have not checked that it gives the age for every make and model (nor am I going to!)
The VP link is useful for downloads of "operators manuals" and other documents including original brochures, although I have to say, to protect myself, not for every model.
Edit: comments like "Try here" or "look here" are perfectly acceptable IMHO. There are just suggestions of places to look for info. That does put some of the responsibility of finding the answers back on the original questioner. Too often questions are asked on here when answers can easily be found via a search engine such as Google.
