Volvo DP-D1 water pipe pick up

Afternoon.

I have got to replace the pipes to connect the legs to the transom plate as i believe they are perforated and I'm overheating.

At the same time i was going to replace the connection point on the top of the leg that the hose connects too.

When ordering i have noticed that they come in alloy or plastic for later drives. Now mine are 1995 so do i need alloy?

If there is no other difference the one could assume that the plastic would be the safe option
But!
Is the gasket the same?
Are both types available?
Are the stubs at the same angle?
