Hi Guys,
I have just purchased a 2008 Mustang 42 with twin Volvo D6 IPS 500's and it's due for it's 200 hour service and i was quoted US$3,500 and US$5,400
which includes 22 litres of engine oil per side,15 litres of drive oil per drive and 6 anodes per side.
I'm not sure why there is 2k difference in the quotes for the same job and i was wondering as it's out of warranty, could i do it myself and save some coin? I've changed oil/filters on cars for 20 years,so i know my way around an engine.Do you need the special Volvo tools/software or is it just a oil/filter change at 200 hours.
Does it specifically have to be Volvo Oil/Filters or are other brands suitable?
Cheers
