Hi
I have an oil leak from a small hole at the back of my engine I suspect a turbo seal but wondered if anyone else had this / knew any more?

Cheers

I have a 55, but no oil leaks. If you can post a picture I will double check because from your description I cannot identify the hole you are talking about.

I understand that the D2 55 is prone to leaking oil from the throttle cable arm where it joins the engine. An rubber seal/gasget can apparently be replaced but the cause is appently a design fault where the metal apperture elongates due to wear. The permanent solution is to have the apperture rebushed, I am told.
Above information given to me by a maintenance engineer for a charter company.
Also check the little rubber cap on the oil extraction tube (below the oil filter) has not split or come loose.

I have said engine, I lost a considerable amount of oil from the oil extraction tube, the little rubber bung had sort of dissolved?? and popped out and it kept doing so, there is a slight positive pressure in the crank case, got a new one cost pence and fixed it and put a cable tie around and no problem since... bl..dy volvos.

I have exact the same problem. My engine turned only 78 hours. What solution did you found to this problem.
