Hello All:
My boat is a 2006 but only had 700 hours on the engine. I am interested process of replacing the diaphragm for the 130 S sail drive. I have found a lot of useful information. I was able to set up a gantry crane to lift the engine. I also had an engine leveler so that I could adjust the engine angle easily. While I have the engine disconnected a thought came to mind -- should I replace the rear main seal. It seems like 85% of the work is done. There is no oil leaking but I feel that rubber parts start to perish due to age at 20 years. I'd prefer not to seperate the sail drive and the engine for another 7 years.
Also does anyone know of an instruction manual to remove the flywheel on the D2-55 engine?
