Volvo cone clutch adjustment

suggest you get someone that really knows what they are doing.my friend lost his g/box on the tidal ouse(yorks) on a big spring tide with one engine, found later the previous owner had the g/box set up wrong.very hairy for him.

Check the oil first, I believe if there is water in the oil (it goes milky) it will cause the symptoms you describe. May just need an oil change and new washers under the screw heads. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Have they always banged? A slight bang into gear is normal, some more than others. If there is no bang into gear that normally sugests cones worn or oil low. If the noise is really bad it might need shimming out.
