Does anyone have a fix for curing an erratic display on the hour meter of these tachos?

The instruments are about 7yrs old, always kept dry, but sometimes display random gobbledegook for several days at a time.

If you are talking about the LCD display in the lower part of the instrument then I have the same problem. As posted I have taken the instrument out and kept it warm and dry but the readout is still very erratic - sometimes OK, sometimes flickering gobblydygook and sometimes shows nothing!! Very frustrating

Same for me with my AQAD31s. Took both RPM guages out this winter and left them in the airing cupboard over winter @5 months, stuck them back in with silica gel taped to the inner console housing - AND - nothing!!!!! Sometimes get a reading on a hot sunny day - but this varies so much I can't rely on it. having spoken to others regarding this the guages are not known to be the most reliable of instruments.
I think i'll have a check around the altenators though as mentioned above.
